Linear creates a straight, even fade. Smooth uses an ease curve for a more natural transition. Radial fades from the center outward in a circular pattern.
Gradient fade affects only one edge (top, bottom, left, or right), while border fade applies the fade effect to all four edges simultaneously, creating a frame-like effect.
Radial fade works best when your subject is centered in the image. It creates a spotlight effect that draws attention to the center while softening the edges.
